All About WwooHoo…

I am a 35 year old abuse survivor who struggles with depression, anxiety, and PTSD.  I choose to remain as anonymous as possible because the story of my abuse is not exclusive to myself.

WwooHoo – a nickname given to me by my best friend.  It can be used as a term of excitement, and is fun to yell out at random times.

I am married and have three daughters, they are each seven years apart.  Ages 8, 15, & 22, the oldest is adopted and also my baby sister.

I am an introvert and love spending time at home with my family, hiking, viewing sunrises and sunsets, reading books, drawing, and painting.  My last 13 years have been occupied by so much…working, college, children, husband… that I have really lost out on doing things that I love to do.

Now that I have finally graduated with my masters degree in nursing management and leadership, I HAVE FREE TIME!!!  I haven’t really known what to do with myself.

So, here we go – writing, reading, anything else I can fit into my life!  I hope to share the adventures here along with my self-guided journey into my past.

    1. Hi Kate! I love your photos… Especially the birds you captured!
As quoted by Horacio Jones: “Instead of saying ‘I’m damaged, I’m broken, I have trust issues’ say ‘I’m healing, I’m rediscovering myself, I’m starting over'”
Rough times are definitely tough, but even in darkest places, you can create light.
